Why Most Founders Wait Too Long to Start
One of the biggest mistakes I see aspiring founders make is waiting for permission.
They wait for the perfect idea, the perfect timing, the perfect team, or the perfect set of credentials. The reality is that entrepreneurship rarely starts with perfection. It usually starts with curiosity and the willingness to try something before you feel fully ready.
When I was building my company, the early days were messy. We were learning everything in real time: how to talk to customers, how to refine the product and how to communicate the vision. That process of figuring things out is not a sign that you are doing something wrong. It is the actual path of building a company.
Many people think successful founders began with complete clarity. In reality, most of them simply started earlier than everyone else. They started before they had all the answers. The advantage wasn’t certainty; it was momentum.
If you are waiting to feel ready, you may be waiting forever. The real skill is learning while moving forward. That is how founders build experience, confidence, and credibility.
The best time to start is almost always earlier than you think.
Keep going,
Clarence
